How do I create a customized flash?

Simply type your text into the "New Flash" field in the main menu of PeopleFlasher. Click "Done" to make the typing screen disappear. Just click the flash tab to show the flash on your screen. You may also save your flash. When saved, your new flash will appear in the "Custom" list in "Categories". You can also add this "flash" to your "Favorites" by pressing the star button on screen and it will light up when saved as a favorite.

Can I customize the "QuickFlash" buttons on the main menu?

The QuickFlash buttons are set up for quick and easy use to display a text message. Here's how to customize the Quick Flash buttons:

1. In Main Menu Screen
2. Click Edit
3. Choose the QuickFlash button you wish to Edit
4. Choose category you wish to select your replacement from or browse any and all categories for your new button selection
5. Choose the flashing sign to add as a replacement button to your QuickFlash options.
6. Click blue "Done" button. That's it!

Why does PeopleFlasher ask if it can use my location when it opens?

PeopleFlasher uses location services for the "WorldFlash" feature in the application.

What are some of the things I can customize in PeopleFlasher?

Just go to Settings from the main screen. There you can customize many features in PeopleFlasher including the font style and color, the background color plus the scroll and flash speed of your flashes. Additionally, you can customize new flashes, delete and add flashes and categories, and create a favorites list. (NOTE: If you suffer from Photosensitive Epilepsy please use a slow setting for your flash speed.)

What languages does PeopleFlasher support?

PeopleFlasher currently supports 51 languages including the following :

Why do I sometimes get strange translations?

PeopleFlasher's translation is accomplished when PeopleFlasher "shakes hands" with the Google Translation program. You may run into some occasional surprises when Google fails to recognize the words in your flash. When it becomes befuddled, Google usually hands back the flash in your default language. Even with the best of the translation programs sometimes the translation gets mangled! When this happens, watch for a puzzled expression on your flashee's face and then use the built in flash "It's not me - it's the translation program!"

How do I get the most out of "World Flash?

World Flash is fun to watch! When you go to WorldFlash you will be able to see the 15 most recent flashes along with their origination point - anywhere in the World. You can drill down on the map using regular iPhone techniques - to the point that you can almost see the street in India where the flash is originating from - in real time. If you see a clever flash you can even save it to your "Custom Folder" in Categories.

And you can send your flashes around the world if you wish. You can do this anonymously or you can select a user name in Settings.

What if I don't want to share some of my flashes on World Flash?

If you do not wish to broadcast your flashes or view the flashes of others you can turn WorldFlash off in Settings.

Can I make my flash messages faster or slower?

Yes! Again, click on the Settings button and look for the adjustment bar beside "Flash Speed" and you can make your flashes slower or faster by adjusting the button on the bar.

How do I save a new flash that I created to my Favorites?

Create your new flash in the New Flash text box and click Save. Then choose Categories, and under the Custom Category, you will find your new flash with a star to the right of it. Simply push on the star and it will light up. Your new flash has now been saved to your favorites!

How do I use the Emoticons in a flash?

In the PeopleFlasher main menu, choose the Categories button. Choose Emoticons from the Categories menu and you have a variety of standard Emoticons to use on your flash.
